"My good friend Sri Subrata Ghosh is the only person I have known in my life till now who visited a rainforest. In 2009, he went to Malaysia to visit the rainforest there. He came back with lots of fascinating stories and videos. It was only then that I coined the word ‘Badolbon’ in Bengali. I have never heard a Bengali name for rainforest before. I think, I can well claim to be the finder of the name ‘Badolbon’ for rainforest. Subrata’s stories of Malaysian rainforest and the pictures he had clicked, compelled me to write the song ‘Badolbon’, which I put to tune only today, 22nd April, 2015, and recorded it with some instrumentation. I did this for Smt. Bidisha, Subrata’s pupil, who will soon go to Peru to experience the Amazonian rainforest there. Bidisha will learn this song and sing it to the people there, with translation of course. I dedicate this song to my extraordinary friend Subrata Ghosh whose rainforest experiences inspired me to make this song."

সূর্য তুমি সবার থেকো
বাদলবন তোমায় চায়।
তোমায় চায় এই গ্রহের
প্রতিটি গাছ জানিনা নাম
এখানে কোটি কোটি বছর
গড়েছে তার বোন মোকাম।
এখানে শুধু জন্ম আর
মৃত্যু আর নবজীবন
