"I Wrote the song in Dhaka, probably in 1998-99. For me, every song is an attempt to give shape to an idea and to see how far I could stretch it. The point, however, is how to end the song well without stretching it too far. I distinctly remember, at that moment I was also thinking of Charlie Chaplin in his film Limelight. In a good song images dissolve into one another and produce an effect which is momentary as well as long lasting. I put the lyric into tune in Calcutta and played it couple of times in my concerts. Once a young girl came up to me after the concert ended, looked into my eyes and said, “Don’t ever sing this song again.” That happened long time ago. Today the time has come to play it again."
